Where have we been?

End of June- -We had a little weekend trip to Lake of the Ozarks for our annual weekend get together with the "S" family who also have fraternal girls. We always have a good time when we get together. Need to do it more often!! This is from a dinner boat ride. It was June, in Missouri and it was hot. Next time I get to choose the dinner venue LOL

How fun to have 2 sets of fraternal girls about the same age in one place!!

July 4th came and went!! We let the girls play with the snappers, daddy had fireworks in the street and we stayed out to watch the big fireworks. Pretty good night all in all.

We had a lot of ice cream in July!!

Rather funny to watch a 2 1/2 yr old eat an ice cream cone. Just have to put down a blanket on the floor and clean it all up in the washer!!

This little girl is a chocoholic!! Loves chocolate ice cream : ) Does not matter if it is chocolate ice cream, chocolate pudding or whatever it will be all over her face!



August- - Just spent some time enjoying the sunshine before the rain!!

More pictures to come!! I promise : ) Rather fitting that I get back to posting in November,.. the month to be especially Thankful!! I am so thankful for these 2 little girls. My life could not be better, or more stressful,.. ha ha!!

Playful in June

The first pictures are from the other night when the camera got splashed from the “out of control” garden hose ha ha

Shawn took the girls outside this evening.  I have not shown pictures of Breezy since we got her a few months ago.  She is a really good dog and getting big!!.  She is just young and full of energy.  Baeley is not fond of her.  : ( He is 12 and 1/3 her size so she pretty much runs him over unless we keep her close to us : ) Shawn changed out the middle swing and said Casey walked over, grabbed hold and lifted her feet off the ground.  She is so tall it just amazes us.  And her strength,.. WOW : )

Lundyn, little cutie, did a great job of hanging on after daddy helped her reach the handles.

Then the girls were off to play on the slide.  I think it is really cute of Breezy waiting at the bottom,..

Oh and the girls went to catch fireflies tonight.  My idea and I wanted to get pictures but I was on the phone with my therapist.     ha ha

Great start to June!!

The girls have asked for a day or 2 if they can have a pool. We got one for Breezy and it was not in the backyard 10 minutes and now it will not hold water. (imagine that) I was running a couple of errands and found this one. After dinner tonight Shawn took the girls out and got it all ready. Here is the last video I got. Starting Over??

Good News is that we got a phone call last week to tell us that our pictures could be recovered. We should have them in a few weeks,.. that is the uuugh part. So I have a few videos that I will share. And will have to dig to see what else I can come up with. I am determined to not spend the summer in front of the computer. : )

This one is just plain silly. Lundyn was in a phase of saying “I’m your brother” I have no idea where it came from and I say phase because I have not heard it for a few days : )

Thankful

With the current status of my 3000+ pictures, I am thankful that my phone has a fabulous camera!! These are from May 6th.  I had most of them saved in my email, and had saved them to the folder that is currently missing.

They were very curious about the sprinkler but really did not want to find out what it does. 

This one just cracks me up!!  Her face : ) I think we were trying to get her shoe back on and I can’t remember how the water got loose, but so glad I caught it : )

I think maybe she ran out of her shoe and they were trying to rinse out the grass from the inside,..

May-hem

I was trying to post an update a couple of days ago and was moving pictures from my camera to the external hard drive on my computer.  I will say that my Mother’s Day was ok.  It started out pretty good, but 1) I did not get my Mother’s Day picture with the girls like I did the previous 2 years.  So I had just done that picture the day before “the crash” 2) I did not get to relax and enjoy the day due to the “paycheck” and I ended up a tad angry a few times on Mother’s Day.  (That sounds a lot like whining) A little tired and stressed : )  ok stay with me,..So I was saving pictures to use in the update.  I also saved pictures from my email into the same folder.  The girls got up from a nap, no big deal all was fine.  Come back and was saving pictures to the same folder only I received an error message that the folder basically did not exist.  YES I was and am still heartbroken.  I see it as 2.5 years of pictures sorted by year and month.  Granted, I have some really good pictures of the girls- stored elsewhere and I am thankful.  However, the pictures that are missing are like,.. indescribable.  I feel like little panes of glass have shattered.  So, the hard drive has been dropped off with the “Geek Squad” and will be sent over night to another company to retrieve my folder of (roughly 30+ months x 100+ pictures)  I hope to hear something Tuesday.  I have no idea what else is on the hard drive, but the pictures mean the most.  Ok so crying stopped,… I got this idea from a friend, and will try to find a picture to go along with it.

Mommy’s First 5K

Girls with Grandma waiting for mommy to finish.  I was apparently 2 minutes away : )

It rained and stopped and rained and stopped.  And just after the Elite (timed) 5K began the rain was back.  So my non-compete 5K was an awesome rainy 34 minutes : )

This was the very last of the run, I am on the left in black pants just behind the runner in the yellow jacket (Jen- my friend and mom of twins)  When I saw this pic it totally reminded me of a certain movie where a guy started running and didn’t stop.  I remember a scene where he was in a red hat and yellow rain coat : )

Waving to my fabulous, adoring fans just before I cross the finish line : )  I had a goal to complete the 5K in 42 minutes because it was what I was expecting from my treadmill experience.  Running outside is so different,… I finished in 34 minutes!!

April Stuff

This is from 4/4/2010-It was about 10:30pm when I went to check on the girls before I went to bed.  I have no idea why they were piled up on the floor with pillows and blankets but they were sound asleep.  I couldn’t stand it : ) I had to pick them up and put them back in bed.

This little girl loves riding the lawnmower.  Shawn said she talked and talked and talked the whole time.

 

Casey has no desire to have anything to do with the lawnmower.  I am pretty sure it is the noise that gets to her.  The week before, I was riding the mower and Lundyn went with me for a few minutes.  Shawn asked if Casey wanted to go and her response was “I don’t want to ride the lawnmower”

We asked her this time too and got the same response.  So we just played with the camera for a while : )

Easter Sunday

Yes Easter was like 3 weeks ago, but Oh well.  Here is an update for April : )  We went to lunch after church and the girls spent a few minutes checking out the lobsters.  We got our food and the girls ate pretty well.

Playing in the dirt

Yesterday the girls took a trip with daddy to grandma’s house, while mommy stayed home and accomplished nothing that was on my list of things to do : )  Apparently they planted flowers, and got dirt in their hair and had a great time!!

March outside

The girls received tricycles for their birthday,..three months ago and once in a while we get to ride them.  Finally left them in the garage instead of the dining room.  Seems that I trip over them less if they are in the garage.  This picture I may have posted already, but I love it.  Casey just goofing around on her tricycle. (spell check did not recognize monkeying around)

We are loving the pretend play that has come around.  It is so cute to see Lundyn giving her baby a drink : )

And on this day for some reason the girls did not take a nap in the early afternoon like normal.  So at 4:45pm they were in our room watching Backyardigans and Lundyn crashed for about 45 minutes.

I took these pictures today when we got home from MDO.  Casey pulled the wagon out of the garage and got in.  Lundyn wanted to pull and Casey is telling her yelling at her that mommy is supposed to pull the wagon : )

So I pulled the girls up and down the driveway and up and down the sidewalk.  They were not ready to give up the wagon so they each took a turn pulling,.. with mommy helping a little.  Casey did really well keeping the wagon on the sidewalk.

Lundyn took her turn pulling Casey but I think she really wanted to ride : )
