This was our very first time to go as I call it now “candy begging”  The first picture is our first house too.  We decided that it took them about a house and a half to figure out what was going on.   Pretty sure that at the second house Lundyn was done with the bag because she just had her hand out.  They did so well trying to say “trick or treat” but we could REALLY understand them saying “Thank you”

We passed out twizzlers on our way around and once the girls  figured out what twizzlers are they were very happy.

I bought a couple of Fairy Princess costumes that I thought were going to be a little big, and got them home to find they were waaaaaaay to small.  So I took them back.  Grandma W came down and we went to buy fabric and got home to create a pattern.  She had a situation to attend to and left me : )  Thanks TD!!  So five days later I got the material cut out and the day after I spent all day in front of my sewing machine.  They now love the silver shoes that we bought to go with the dresses.  Now they want to wear them all the time : ) In my opinion, the dresses turned out more like Warrior Princesses.  Especially if you look at the picture of them standing in front of the wagon, about to get in.

Its so funny because Shawn and I have never gotten into the whole Halloween gig.  But with children there is something fun about it. And it is funny to have kids this small, who will not get to eat all the candy they collect, and it should be obvious that the parents are going to.  Once the girls were in bed we said “why does this night not happen more times per year"?  This coming from two people who in 11 years celebrated 10/31 maybe one time.

Fun times! I'm glad your first Halloween was memorable! Children make everything so much fun! What a blessing...times 2! I love the picture of the girls on the top of the blog-- so precious!

Halloween is so fun, I'm so glad the girls enjoyed their first one!! I was sad this year that Brayden has gotten too big for this, it was just Riley and a group of his friends out and about this year. The costumes are great, nice job Mom!!
